The iPhone 7 Could Sport A New Color Option

According to a new report, Apple’s next-gen iPhone could sport a new color option alongside three other colors.
In a recent report by AppleInsider, the iPhone 7 is expected to come in a darker color than Apple’s space gray option. The report indicates that the new color won’t be black, but is close to it.
In an earlier report, Macotakara sources claimed that Apple had plans on replacing the space gray color for a deep blue color option. However, on Monday, Macotakara sources now claim that they mistook the next-gen iPhone darker space gray for a blue shade.
Alongside the darker space gray, the iPhone 7 will come in silver, gold and rose gold. It is also said that Apple will remove the 3.5mm headphone jack, and that the iPhone 7 Plus could sport a dual-lens camera. As for the internal specs, the device will have an upgraded A10 processor, and a 256GB storage tier. The phone is expected to launch this September alongside the Apple Watch 2 and iOS 10.
Whether Apple decides to add a new color option for the iPhone 7 is uncertain, Apple currently offers space gray for many of its products, yet the shade varies. For example the iPhone 6S space gray color is lighter than the iPad Air space gray. We’ll have to wait and see if Apple adds a new color option or if it’ll stick with space gray.
